50th anniversary of the New Brunswick flag

Premier Brian Gallant celebrated the 50th anniversary of the New Brunswick flag today along with Robert Pichette and students at Shediac Cape School.

“Our flag tells of our history and is integral to our identity,” said Gallant. “It tells of our pioneering ancestors and our legacy of ship-building. It marks our place in Confederation and gives a face to who we are within this great nation.”

The New Brunswick Flag was unveiled on Feb. 24, 1965 during the leadership of Premier Louis Robichaud.
